I have a confession to make – I’m not a football fan. Actually, I’m not much of a sports fan at all. My picks are usually based on players’ names I like or which uniforms are better looking. But I will not let the chance for a party pass me by! Any excuse to combine friends, yummy food and booze is OK with me. These creative party ideas are keepers even after the Super Bowl is over – use them for any sports-themed event you may have. Switch up the team colors and logos and you’re good to go. No matter who you root for – or against – make sure your party is more fun than doing the Super Bowl Shuffle!
For those football fans hosting a ritzy affair, this is the cocktail shaker for you. Warning: By the end of the game, more than one of your guests will pretend this is an actual trophy.
Your crowd isn’t the type to drink silver football cocktails? Try vodka gummy bears instead! Bonus points for using coordinating team colors.
If all your rowdy friends are coming over, they’ll be hungry. Make sure there’s lots to eat and include some football inspired food.
For the Super Fans – make a snack stadium that includes all the party food MVPs.
At our house the commercials are more important than the actual game and I’m sure we aren’t the only ones. Turn it into a bingo game and add a little extra excitement to the night!
My favorite part of the day is Puppy Bowl. For those not into football, throw a TAILgate party and root for either Team Ruff or Team Fluff!
