Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner (a week from today, actually) and it’s one of my favorite excuses to have a party. I love Mexican food and drinks, the festive colors and decor plus the opportunity for outdoor entertaining. My husband and I are going to a Cinco de Mayo dinner with some other couples and I’ll be on the lookout for entertaining tips and ideas to share with you. Whatever your plans are, I hope today’s roundup will motivate you to try something new when planning your next party. Please leave a comment and let me know if you try any of these ideas!
Insta Inspiration is an ongoing series where I share my favorite recent instagrams, giving us some creative and imaginative ideas to start our week. Hopefully you’ll be inspired to follow some new instagram accounts, too! These wooden cutlery sets from @jollityandco are on trend with awesome designs perfect for your fiesta.
There’s so much visual interest in this beautiful table arrangement from @cozytribe. The limited color palette, the mix of cacti and feminine florals, gold flower pots and white candles look amazing together. All of these ideas can be used well beyond Cinco de Mayo.
There are lots of cool party items to discover over at @emersonsloanparty – like these cactus balloons. Mix them with brightly colored balloons for a stylish balloon bouquet that’s fiesta ready.
When I’m planning a party, one of my first stops is to check in with @lisafrankparties. She’s so talented and always has such unique creations. How cute are these mini pinatas? You could fill them with treats as a party favor or use them in a centerpiece display.
If you’re lucky enough to host your party outside, try setting out some colorful pillows and Mexican serapes for your guests. This picture that @pearleventsaustin shared shows us how to add color and comfort around a fire pit. Love it!
And last but not least, a little self-promotion. This pic comes from my own instagram feed. I created these succulent arrangements last year for a fiesta themed event. P.S. I also made the tissue paper flowers at the top of this post!
