It’s hard to believe that Summer is winding down and it’s Back to School time once again. Where we live, school has already started so we’re settling into new routines and schedules. Whether your kids are starting preschool, kindergarten or entering a new school it’s a season full of excitement and fresh starts.
Below I’ve rounded up some super cute Back to School themed crafts. Each of them is perfect for the classroom or at home. Set aside some time with your little one and make a special gift for his or her favorite teacher (hello, Brownie points!).
This craft can be made easily when you start with a pre-made burlap pennant banner. Use fabric markers, paints or felt shapes to give it a schoolhouse theme. Customize it with your teacher’s names, classroom number or even the school’s mascot and colors!
There are so many cute styles for back to school cookies: books, apples, letters, buses. Check with your local bakery to see if they can do a custom order for you. Even if your teacher doesn’t have a sweet tooth, they’ll earn bonus points by sharing these treats in the faculty lounge!
Fresh flowers will brighten up any teacher’s day. These fun containers give a scholarly style to your arrangement. A plain glass vase and a hot glue gun are the basics needed for this project.
My love of wreaths isn’t anything new, but these back to school ones are a new idea to me! The use of unexpected materials is very clever and ensures that the wreath will be treasured for a long time. Imagine how fun one of these would look on a classroom door.
Planning to make some (or all) of these adorable projects? Snap a pic, share it on Instagram and tag it with #thepartybuss. I’d LOVE to see your creativity and how you take these idea and make them your own. Here’s to a great school year and Happy Crafting!
